I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT EASY EMBROIDERY

It's very simple, just stick the pattern on the fabric, fill the drawing with the thread and once the embroidery is done, wash it and puf !

it’s ready. You have never embroidered and are afraid to get started? Do not, our kits have been designed by a beginner and thought for beginners.

Each kit or refill contains a leaflet that explains how to proceed and video tutorials are availble here

- If you’re a beginner, it’s best to embroider on “stiff” fabrics: shirt, tote bag, pouch... it’s much easier to keep the fabric taut to ensure a more regularembroidered design.

- If you’re a bit more experienced, you may want to go for something more complex, such as adding pretty embroidery to a tee-shirt or sweat-shirt. But you’ll have to be extra-careful not to pull the fabric out of shape when you place it in the embroidery hoop, and make sure your thread is kept evenly tight.

Note: pick a tee-shirt that’s not too soft (i.e. that stays in shape when you pull the fabric).

- You can also embroider on your merino wool sweaters and on which you can stick the sticker paper.

In fact, we do not indicate which point to use to achieve this or that embroidery because we think that everyone can do as he wishes and especially as he feels. Strangely enough, embroidering may be pretty instinctive and you'll see when you start how you want to go about it. BUT you can still find examples on our Instagram account AND we explain various points to fill in the instructions manual AND in our video tutorials on our channel: here.

THE STICH TO WRITE:

THE STICH TO WRITE

In traditional embroidery this is called the backstitch, it allows to obtain a continuous line. You do not have to make points of equal length but the important thing is not to cut the curves.

THE STITCH TO FILL WITH PARALLEL LINES:

THE STITCH TO FILL WITH PARALLEL LINES

In traditional embroidery we call it a satin stitch (do not ask me why I do not know :-)). Just make lines parallel to each other. Tip: Do not use this point for lines longer than 1 cm on T-shirts or else it will dodge after washing and always prefer the shortest length.

THE POINT TO FILL WITH CONVERGING TRAITS:

Embroider the outline first and make small stitches converging to a central point and hop.

THE STICTH TO FILL ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING:

THE STICTH TO FILL ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING

That's what I call point of anything, or so from Birtney's stitch :-D. Embroider the outline first and then make small stitches in all directions. Little advice: the longest stitch you do (max 7mm lenght) the faster it goes. Be careful, this point is very greedy in threads so try to make them close to each other when you embroider.

THE POINT TO GET A UNIFORM EMBROIDERY:

In traditional embroidery, we call it Long and short stitch, (it is also used to make gradients). Go on one side of the pattern and make parallel stitches of different lengths directed towards the center of the pattern then do the reverse, but do not go back into the other stitch hole but between two, it will unables you to drown the points in each others.

Ha, excuse us, this is a mistake, contact us and we will send you the missing thread.

I would say that kits can be used independently from 10,11 years, sometimes earlier if your child is very used to manual practice.

Yes it can, but you should first fill the hole on your garment and then embroider over. Possibly put a piece of clothe underneath if it is a very big hole.

We have chosen a cotton thread known for its quality, it will not deform or shrink or discharge itself during washing. Once embroidered, you will be able to wash your clothes as you used to wash them.

For the first wash, we recommend that you use the the washing machine, so you will be sure that all the ink and glue contained in the paper will be eliminated.

STARTING AT WHAT AGE?
The backpack contains a round-tipped needle and you have to use scissors, so we would recommend starting with kids under surveillance and between 8 to 9 years old.

CAN I WASH THE BAG ONCE IT HAS BEEN EMBROIDERED?
Yes, the yarns we selected are machine washable cotton yarns, so you can wash the backpack whenever you like.

ARE THESE CARDS TO EMBROIDER?
No, but you can connect the dots with any pen.
